Two-scale Factor Universality of O2: Experiments Under Density Gradients

Finding better, more efficient propellants for space missions is paramount for the future development of space missions. One of the most promising approaches is based on using liquid oxygen (LO) as cryogenic propellants for space missions. The goal of this project is to obtain better estimates of the equation of states for LO. For this purpose, we established an international collaboration and gained access to experimental data from HYdrogen DEvice Levitation (HYLDE) facility at the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA)-Grenoble in France. The HYLDE device uses magnetic levitation to compensate Earth's gravity.
